Terms and Conditions

Last updated October 6, 2026

dropbags.io is operated by Dead Reckoning Labs, Inc. (deadreckoninglabs.com) on behalf of race organizers. Using a dropbags.io page or tag means you agree to these terms. Your race's own rules on drop bags (size, contents, deadlines) still apply.

SMS Terms

Program name: dropbags.io Drop Bag Updates, operated by Dead Reckoning Labs, Inc.

Program description: dropbags.io Drop Bag Updates sends transactional text messages about the status of your own race drop bag: checked in for transit, arrived at an aid station, on transport back to the finish, and arrived at the finish. If your bag is left unclaimed after the race, it also sends a notice and reminders asking whether to ship it, hold it for pickup or donate it, with a link to your own bag page. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

How you join: enter your mobile number and tick the consent box on your dropbags.io runner page, then press “Text me updates.” Consent is not a condition of race entry or of any purchase.

Message frequency: message frequency varies, about 4 messages per bag on race weekend, plus a notice and occasional reminders if a bag is left unclaimed after the race.

Rates: Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out: you can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to the number that messaged you. You will get one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed and no further messages will be sent. To join again, reply START.

Help: if you are having trouble with the program, reply HELP for more assistance, or email info@aravaiparunning.com.

Carrier liability: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility: by opting in, you confirm you are the account holder for the mobile number or have the account holder's permission to enroll it.

Privacy: see our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Drop bags

We track and return bags as the race organizer directs. Do not pack valuables, medication you cannot do without, or anything prohibited by the race. Unclaimed bags are handled under the organizer's policy, which may include donation after a deadline we tell you about.

Changes

We may modify or discontinue the program or these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
